Augmented Reality

The world is such a huge and an interesting place. So many new things to see, so many places to discover, so many new people to meet and experiences to live.

There are many instances when we come across something new and have no clue what it is. For example it could be a new car on the road and you go like 'man! Just look at the design!...i wonder how much it costs?' and if you're living in India the next question would be 'Mileage kitna deti hai?' (What's the mileage?). Or maybe you want to know more about it's engine capacity, the seating capacity it has, does it have an automatic shift or manual? does it come with a power steering or not? What is the on-road price? What is the user-rating? and many more

Or maybe you're staring at a diagram of the Human heart and you've got no idea how the blood flow works and you really badly want to know it because you've got a test tomorrow wouldn't it be nice if the diagram of the heart came to life and showed you how the valves contract, where the blood enters into and which chamber it exits form, showed you clearly which part of the heart is called what.

Now imagine a screen popped out right in front of your eyes the moment the new car drove by and showed you all the information you want to know, it's maker's details,it's price on and off road, it's mileage, it's engine capacity and etc. Wouldn't it be great?

Well, you could feel a little bit like the Terminator or Robocop, scanning everything you come across...sounds cool doesn't it?

This is precisely what augmented reality aims to do. Connecting the physical world with the digital world via our natural senses. For decades now people have been talking about bridging the
gap between the digital and real words and A.R is the closest we've got. Thanks to the quantum leap we've experienced in the field of data processing and nano-technology bigger and more complicated algorithms can now be run on devices like Google Glass which can sit comfortably on your head. So trying to use the subway when there's repair work going on would show you this message

From education to entertainment augmented reality is set to take each and every field with a huge storm. The future my friend has gotten much more magical now. And to sum it all off here's an interesting video for you to watch.
